Plans to turn a former Lancaster pub into student accommodation have been submitted to the city council.
Property developer Mustaq Mister has applied to convert the Grade II Listed former Tramway Hotel, in St Leonardgate, into 12 self contained student flats.
The derelict building, owned by Mitchells of Lancaster, dates back to 1760, and was converted from houses into a pub around 1891. It has stood empty for many years.
An historic building record shows that the building contains many original features, including fireplaces, from the eighteenth century, as well as more recent sash windows and balustrades.
