New-look website brings helping hand for local businesses

A new website has been launched for the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub.

Lincolnshire County Council hope this will make it even easier for local businesses to find the help and support they need.

It can now be found online at www.businesslincolnshire.com.

The hub offers information on local business support schemes and services that can help to start or grow a business.

The site includes an advice and grants scheme finder, an interactive tool that lists all of the business support schemes, grants, loans, equity finance, and training support programmes that Lincolnshire businesses can take advantage of.

90 schemes are already listed, with many offering free support.

Coun Colin Davie, Executive Member for Economic Development, said: “We’ve had more than 26,000 visitors to our Business Lincolnshire website since it launched in late 2011. It’s now been expanded into the Business Lincolnshire Growth Hub, meaning even more people can benefit and the new-look site has more information than ever on things like how to access contract opportunities and exporting, and includes blogs, case studies and video content.”

“We also have an improved events calendar, on which local companies can add their own business events and if you register with the site, you’ll receive a regular round-up of the latest business news and information about upcoming events, helping you keep your finger on the pulse. This will be the go-to place for local business information. So if you’re doing something to help local businesses or fancy writing a blog on your experiences, get in touch,” he added.

The website is mobile and tablet-friendly, and is complemented by a business support helpline on 0300 456 3565 (9am to 6pm, Monday to Friday).
