KENSINGTON, Md. — Events at the Washington D.C. Temple Visitors Center of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in July include musical performances in Spanish and English and firesides.
On Sunday starting at 7 p.m. will be a Spanish Night of Music and Inspiration titled “Not My Will, but Thy Will” and presented by missionaries serving in the Washington, D.C., area.
On Sunday, July 20, at 7 p.m., will be a “Why I Believe” fireside with Dr. Chris Jonas, his wife and new members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Former Broadway singer and recording artist Sandra Turley will perform on Thursday, July 24, at 7:30 p.m.
On Saturday, July 26, at 7 p.m. will be a presentation of the story of the Mormon pioneers’ westward trek through word and music by the Oakton Virginia Stake.
On Sunday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m., Dave Checketts, who has had a career in professional sports management, will present on “We Seek After These Things.”
The visitors center is at 9900 Stoneybrook Drive, Kensington, Maryland, and all events are free and open to the public.
