An high tech showroom based at one of the most historically significant buildings in Leeds has opened its doors to the public.
The ‘smart home’ features the world’s most cutting edge gadgetry, as well as the very best in telecoms, IT, security, lighting, cinema, and audio, and is the work of Finite Solutions, a firm specialising in home technology.
The firm bought and converted the listed Manor House with the aim of demonstrating the possibilities of home automation, and the ways that it can be integrated into day-to-day life. The technological set-up enables everything – from security systems like the alarms and CCTV to the lights and heating – to be operated using either an iPhone or an iPad, but this futurism has been balanced throughout by fine art and furnishings.
Since launching in Leeds a decade ago, Finite Solutions has become an industry leader in its field, helped by other local firms able to deliver cutting edge services, like digital printing firms in Leeds.
Finite Solutions’ director, Simon Mathieson, told the Yorkshire Evening Post:
“The historic nature of the house also helps to demonstrate how new technology can be integrated into older properties that may present restrictions and aesthetic challenges.
“Our ‘smart home’ remains true to its elegant heritage but delivers against futuristic requirements.”
Further information about the home, or private tours, can be arranged by contacting either the Manor House or Finite Solutions.
