Neil Patrick Harris of “How I Met Your Mother” fame and his partner, actor David Burtka, have put their home in Sherman Oaks up for sale at $2.995 million.
In a departure from the usual celeb listing, this is being marketed as such and had public open houses over the weekend. Hundreds turned out to see the showplace and several offers have come in above the asking price.
The Traditional-style house, built in 1991, is tastefully tricked out in this year’s popular gray/beige colors. In fact, the home has had its own star turns on “Oprah’s Next Chapter” and InStyle magazine.
A formal entry, a step-down living room with a fireplace and built-in window seating and an oversized kitchen that opens to a family room are among the rooms in the two-story home. The 4,191 square feet of living space also contains six bedrooms and five bathrooms.
A built-in pizza oven, a swimming pool and an outdoor shower are among exterior features.
