Matt Schaub lists Houston house for sale for $4.29 million

Former Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub may now be getting locked in to quarterbacking the Oakland Raiders this coming season, but he still has some unfinished business here in Houston, namely his family’s three-story home which just hit the market.

The former Schaub home in Tanglewood is now on the real estate block, listed at $4.29 million.

That price tag gets you over 10,000 square feet, five bedrooms, six bathrooms, plus three half-bathrooms, all on about an acre of land just east of Chimney Rock.

According to the realtors, the Schaub family moved in at the end of 2009, the same year the QB lead the Texans to their first winning-record season.

There is a pretty boss home theater that the Schaub clan put in too, you know, to watch game footage. Plus, who doesn’t need a wine vault in their home. The gated play area out back looks like something out of “the Brady Bunch.”

The house, built in 2000, is just a quick drive from the Houston Country Club, the Galleria, and NRG Stadium.

The home is zoned to the Houston Independent School District, but if you are buying a house for just over $4 million they probably go to some posh school where they dress like Angus Young from AC/DC.
