The 31st Annual Barbecue Festival is set for 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Oct. 25. More than 150,000 people are expected to attend and experience the food, entertainment, vendors and attractions.

The Southeast Tourism Society Top 20 Events publication receives extensive exposure in print media, web and television and radio in the U.S. and Canada. Over 1,600 newspapers, magazines, radio television stations, AAAs and others receive the listings. The Top 20 Events are listed on the Southeast Tourism Society website, www.southeasttourism.org, and on the consumer website www.escapetothesoutheast.com. The Top 20 Events pages are consistently among the most visited pages on the STS sites.

To be nominated for a Top 20 Event, an event must be at least in its third year and have a minimum attendance of 1,000.
