Additional Charges Listed for Wasilla Burglaries Investigation Suspect

A Wasilla man has been charged with 10 additional charges in relational to a string of thefts in the area that has already led to more than two dozen charges of theft, burglary, criminal mischief, forgery, and fraudulent use of a stolen credit card.

Raymond Keown III, 22, was placed under arrest by Alaska State Troopers on June 7 at Keown’s residence after their investigation led them to evidence of his participation into several thefts between May 9 and May 19. Roughly $11,000 worth of items was recovered at his residence at the time of his arrest, including 13 stolen firearms.

A stolen business account credit was discovered by investigators as well, which the suspect used fraudulently on five separate occasions. Troopers report that all but $18 worth of items obtained by using the stolen credit card have been recovered.

The charges laid against Keown include 22 counts of Theft in the second degree, six counts of Theft in the third, Burglary, Criminal Mischief in the fourth, Forgery in the second, and Fraudulent Use of Stolen Access Device.

The investigation seems likely to continue in the case against Keown, who is scheduled to appear in court for a preliminary hearing on June 25.
