Home grown smartphone maker, Xolo has released a new budget Android smartphone dubbed A500s Lite in India.
The Xolo A500s Lite, which is believed to be the successor to the Xolo A500s, has been listed on the company website with a price tag of ₹5,499.The handset looks stylish in its design with its faux leather finish back panel and features 4 inch WVGA IPS display with 480×800 pixels resolution. Powered by 1.3GHz dual-core MediaTek MT6572 processor along with Mali-400 MP GPU and 512MB of RAM, the new budget handset from Xolo packs 4GB of internal memory, which is further expandable by upto 32 GB with microSD card.
The smartphone houses 3.0-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a VGA front camera. On the connectivity front, Xolo A500s Lite supports 3G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and A-GPS and comes with 1400 mAh battery, which according to the company delivers upto 520 hours under standby mode (2G), 16 hours of talktime (2G) and up to 8 hours of talktime (3G).The phone supports 10 Indian languages.
The smartphone measures 127x63x9.2 mm in size and comes in Black and White colour variants. Though the Xolo’s latest budget smartphone has descent features to offer for the price sensitive buyers in India, the Android KitKat smartphones like Moto E and Lava Iris X1 might take the limelight away from it.
Earlier this month, Xolo launched a handset dubbed Q900T in the market with a price tag of ₹11,999. The phone sports 4.7-inch HD (1280x720p) IPS screen and runs on the Android v4.2 Jelly Bean. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core CPU with PowerVR SGX544 graphics engine, 1GB RAM and packs 4GB inbuilt memory (expandable up to 32GB).
Talking of the camera features, it comes equipped with 8.0-megapixel primary camera with HDR, full HD video recording ability and 2.0-megapixel snapper on the front. It comes loaded with 1800 mAh battery which can provide power back-up for up to 15 hours of talk time and close to 367 hours under standby mode.
