Asking price: $858,000

The game plan: The home was new construction, built on an existing foundation. Rashty listed the home on the New Jersey Multiple Listing Service and advertised it on the Internet and in print. She also mailed out postcards and held open houses every Sunday, with the help of other agents in the office.

At one of those open houses, a prospective buyer made an offer.

The result: The home sold for $845,000.
