Dutch playmaker Wesley Sneijder has been made available for transfer by Galatasaray, alerting new Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal to a potential move.
Van Gaal manages Sneijder with the Dutch national team and may attempt to link up with the 29-year-old at his new club.

United had been tracking the former Inter Milan playmaker even before van Gaal took over so if Sneijder is indeed on the market, as reported by tuttomercatoweb, it seems likely the Red Devils would become interested.
Sneijder has regained some form throughout last season, scoring 12 goals from midfield in 28 games in the Turkish league.
But Gala will allow the player to leave as they have to cut the amount of foreign players in their squad from 10 to eight following a new draft of rules for the league.
And Sneijder will be made available due to his big money contract and the likelihood of a new suitor being found.
The Dutchman was one of the finest players in the world when he peaked in 2010 winning the treble with Inter Milan and finishing runners-up with Holland at the World Cup.
He was voted the second best player at the World Cup and finished as joint top scorer.
He was also the man of the match in the Champions League final win and in four of Holland’s seven World Cup matches.
