A $20 million mega mansion complete with a helipad and a panic room has hit the market in a sleepy country community, threatening to break the highest recorded Gold Coast house sale.
Biddaddaba, famous for its horse breeding, could soon be renowned for its record-breaking property after trumping the Glitter Strip with the opulent 390 Spengler Rd, which was offered up for sale for the first time since a major renovation.

Marketing agent Shaun Kaddatz, of Harcourts Coastal said the block housed an old original homestead before the Richardsons “completely transformed” the entire property, creating a 10 bedroom, seven-bathroom masterpiece with its own grand ballroom, helipad and airstrip.
“I have seen some of the most impressive homes in this country but this is by far the most impressive property I have ever been in,” Mr Kaddatz said.
“There’s just nothing else like it … it has also been completely modernised with everything you can think of.”

Canungra Realty licensee and area specialist Lawrie Phillips said while the home was undoubtedly the area’s finest, he believed the hefty price tag was a case of “reaching for the stars”.
Despite that he said the property was bound to place the region on the map.
Mr Kaddatz said the star power of the home went far beyond the sheer chunk of hinterland land, with the entire package offering “more than any inner suburb could provide”.
“It’s got guesthouses, an airstrip, fishing dams — I mean you can’t provide that in an entire suburb block,” he said.
“It has state-of-the-art of everything.

“The construction of the home is beyond anything I have seen. No expense has been spared.
“They spent $14 million just in the construction and renovation of the house … the attention to details and the size and grandeur of the home is just outstanding.”
Mr Kaddatz said the home also featured an extra deep pool for diving with a diving board and a control-heated pool.
“It’s even got a grand ballroom for 250 guests,” he said.
The Biddaddaba land was originally owned by Anthony Scibilia who sold off the entire farm in parcels. Mr and Mrs Preston purchased the land off Alison Searle.
