Moto X+1 Placeholder Listed on Company’s US Site, This Time for AT&T

It seems nothing is going Motorola’s way – after unintentionally listing
the Moto X+1 placeholder on the Moto Maker site, the company has now listed the yet-to-be-announced Moto X
successor on the
company’s US site.

Droid Life first spotted the ‘Moto X+1 for
ATT’ listing on the company’s official site, (using the same FLEXR2 codename as the previous listing) which appears to be a placeholder for the
unannounced device. The listing shows a Moto X (Review

image, instead of a new Moto X+1 model, and has a price tag of $400,
which is again a placeholder.

Droid Life in a report,
further suggests that Motorola
will announce the
much-anticipated Moto X+1 on all three major US carriers – ATT,
Sprint and Verizon, much like the Moto X. The report also claims that
the Moto X+1 will be available in Black, Blue, Grey and Red leather
options. Earlier leaks have
suggested that the Moto X+1 will come with 25 back panel colour
options at launch.

Notably, Motorola back in February had
tipped that the next version of Moto X was scheduled to launch late
in the US summer
. In addition, phone tipster @evleaks has been on a roll
leaking information about the next Moto X. First the name ‘Moto X+1’
and later a list of customisation colours of the alleged Moto X successor were leaked by
the tipster.

Another report noted a new handset, speculated to be
the Moto X’s successor, codenamed Motorola XT912A, whose specifications
surfaced online in a benchmark result listing
.

Last week,
Motorola officially confirmed that it’s hosting a special event
on May 13, when the company is
expected to unveil its “made to last [and] priced for all” smartphone.
