As the industry gears up for the spring show season, eyes remain fixed on the outcome as they have traditionally been indicative of the summer market and the potential at the autumn show circuit. Arne Ploch, sales broker at Camper Nicholsons International and based in Spain shared that “2014 to date has been busier than 2013 with more yachts sold. We are seeing many more deals closing on purchase processes that started at the end of 2013 when we had strong enquiries coming in.” With the Palma Superyacht Show underway next week, Ploch commented “for us in Spain, the coming season looks promising, with the extension of the Spanish Matriculation Tax for charter yachts in place and the Palma Superyacht show, seeing participants coming from all over the globe with 60+ yachts over 24m for sale or charter confirming their attendance.” In addition, Camper Nicholsons International will be featuring eight yachts in the show next week: CD Two, Seljim, Iemanja, Aldonza, Phoebe, Lady Jane, Stalca and Maca; whilst the following will be in the surrounding area: Northern Spirit, Bolero, Alas Libres, Oscar and Atlantic Goose.
