THE chief operating officer of a Fareham maritime company has been short-listed in the Freight Transport Association Everywoman in Transport and Logistics awards.

Karen Jacques, who is 39, has worked for Dryad Maritime since joining 
as commercial director in 2009.

Dryad Maritime provides specialist maritime, security, intelligence and operational support to global ship owners, operators, managers and 
the wider maritime community.

The awards were founded to raise awareness of the opportunities offered by the industry and to show the variety of fulfilling careers available.

The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony at The Savoy in London on May 13 and will be attended by more than 250 business leaders and executives.
