The stone building is one of the oldest in Kendal
One of Kendal’s oldest building has been closed while it undergoes a £120,000 makeover funded by English Heritage.
The Castle Dairy is a Grade I listed stone structure in Wildman Street which dates back to the 14th Century.
South Lakeland Council owns the building which is a restaurant – run by apprentices at Kendal College, as well as an art gallery.
The building, which is getting a new kitchen, is due to reopen on 25 March.
