Here’s what’s coming up at the Colonial Club:


Monday, March 17

Join us on St. Patrick’s Day for some Irish fun and lunch at 11:30 a.m. Jean will be serving the traditional feast of corned beef and cabbage. Sign up in the main office or call (608) 837-4611 by Monday, March 3 at noon. Cost of the meal is $7.50 for those under 60 and a suggested minimum donation of $4, or pay what you can afford, for those 60 or older.

Tuesday, March 18

Chorus and band meet every Tuesday at 2: p.m. If you are a senior who enjoys singing or plays an instrument, this may be the group for you. They regularly perform at senior communities in Sun Prairie and surrounding communities. Just drop in and talk to Dottie or Roger LeClaire if you are interested.

Wednesday, March 19

The Breakfast Bunch will be meeting for breakfast and a presentation by Dr. Judy Ciasto from Whitewater. She will present information on good nutrition and the role of vitamin supplements. She will also be available after the program with samples of Shaklee products. The presentation and breakfast is only $4. Call (608) 837-4611 to make your reservation by Tuesday.

Thursday, March 20

The 12th annual talent show will be held in the Cremer auditorium at 1:30 p.m. Stop in and enjoy our local talent perform a variety of songs, skits and comedy routines. The cost for the show is $3.50 and free for Club 301 premium members.

Friday, March 21

At 10:30 a.m., learn how falls can be prevented in the aging population at this free presentation by occupational therapist Jennifer Wooten. Falls among the older adults can cause serious injuries and limited mobility due to these injuries or even from the fear of falling. Gain insight on simple things you can do to stay safe and remain independent and mobile.

Case management staff is available to assess the needs of area residents age 60 or older in one-on-one meetings. Confidential services are available to any individual living in Sun Prairie, Cottage Grove, Deerfield, Marshall, or surrounding townships (in Northeast Dane County).
