• Wine of Washington, fundraiser benefiting Rebuilding Together Thurston County, an organization which helps the elderly, disabled, veterans and low-income families to do critical repairs to their home. Locally, the program has recently helped repair sheds, yard cleanup and landscaping in Yelm; provided new carpet, painting, drywall replacement and door repair in Tenino; and cleaned the roof, repaired a deck and porch, along with electrical and plumbing work for a family in Rainier. Local wineries, breweries and vendors will offer their wares. The evening includes raffle baskets. All proceeds go toward Rebuilding Together. Event is 1-5 p.m. at Olympia Eagles Ballroom, 805 Fourth Ave. E., Olympia. Cost is $15 at the door.

• Snap Happy! Photography 101, 6-7:30 p.m. at Yelm Timberland Library for adults. Sarah Parker will offer simple strategies to improve your photo taking skills and help you get the results you want. This program is geared toward getting the most out of your DSLR or point-and-shoot camera. It will go over basic tips, tricks and settings to get great, everyday snapshots. While this is not a course on shooting in manual, it will go over the exposure triangle and what the buttons and dials on the back of the camera mean. Registration is required.
