Here’s what’s coming up at the Colonial Club:
Monday, March 10
Love to play cards? Join us on Mondays for a game of Cribbage, Sheepshead or 500 at 1 p.m. The Euchre group gathers in the evening at 6:45 p.m. New players are always welcome.
Tuesday, March 11
Tuesday’s card playing includes Bridge at 1 p.m and Texas Hold’em Poker at 6:30 p.m.
Wednesday, March 12
Sweet Sounds will be offering free hearing exams in the morning. Call (608) 837-4611 to make your free appointment.
Thursday, March 13
At 10:30 a.m., we will be hosting a webinar “Depression among people with vision loss.” The webinar is offered by the Wisconsin Council for the blind and Visually Impaired and will explore depression among individuals who have vision loss. Coping strategies and treatment options will also be discussed. No reservation needed, just drop in.
Friday, March 14
Does a gentle mind and body exercise that emphasizes stretching, balance and relaxation sound appealing? Join QiGong instructor Jo Chern on Fridays at 12:30 p.m. to learn more about this form of exercise. Contact (608) 837-4611 if you are interested in trying out Jo’s class or would like and individual consultation.
Day Trip to Chicago
Colonial Club has partnered with the Sun Prairie Parks and Rec Department to offer a Chicago Architecture Tour on May 22. Take this 90-minute cruise on the historic Chicago River and enjoy lunch on your own on the Navy Pier. Return to Sun Prairie at approximately 8: p.m. Cost is $80 per person.
