MOSSPARK is unbeaten in two starts over hurdles for Emma Lavelle, and the six-year-old faces his biggest task to date when taking on four rivals in the Listed StanJames.com Sidney Banks Memorial Novices’ Hurdle at Huntingdon (3.40).

The race has unearthed some useful performers in recent years, including Time For Rupert, The Minack and Easter Day. Lavelle has high hopes for Mosspark, and said: “He’s a lovely horse, a real chaser in the making, and he has plenty of ability.

“Huntingdon could just be on the sharp side for him, but it’s been difficult finding a suitable race. Even though the track might not be ideal, I’m hopeful he’ll run well.”

As well as Huntingdon there are jumps meetings at Ayr, Clonmel and Sedgefield, plus an all-weather card at Wolverhampton.

Today’s key pointer

Willie Mullins’ form figures in Clonmel bumpers since the start of 2011 reads 4213122111 (50 per cent). He has Most Peculiar in the 4.45.
