Some of the most luxurious addresses in the country sit in South Florida. Within them, extreme kitchens with luxurious finishes.
Senada Adzem is the Director of Luxury Sales for Douglas Elliman Real Estate.
Listed at $13,950,000 the condo at 1000 S. Ocean Boulevard #703 in Boca Raton is the most expensive condo on the market in the area. The property has 6,900 square feet of living space and 4,000 square feet on the terrace.
“As you know, 4,000 square feet on the terrace, you can have a soccer game out there,” Adzem laughed.
With views of both the intracoastal waterway and the Atlantic Avenue, the property takes a sleek, modern and uncluttered appearance to a next level. Cabinetry, storage, appliances and even doors are tucked behind sleek surfaces throughout.
“It’s understated elegance but using very luxurious and rich materials,” Adzem said.
In the kitchen, most every appliance is integrated behind cabinet doors. For dining, a bronze table imported from Belgium is valued at $250,000. The table is included with the property.
At 400 S. Ocean Boulevard Penthouse 2, a $4,999,000 million condo sits at the top of a private elevator. There are myriad luxury materials used in sweeping, curved walls, ceilings, countertops and cabinets. Absolute black granite tiles at 48” line the floors, some are inlaid with LED crystal lighting. Onyx, black oak and stainless steel are mixed in an interesting splash of color and texture.
“To have such interesting rosewood cabinets that open, and just follow the line, the whole purpose here was to really have some curvilinear lines that integrate with the living room area,” Adzem said.
Custom curved lines are reflected in the ceiling. A sparkling bar over the dining room looks over the ocean.
“This is an Asian-inspired, urban feel oceanfront residence which is rather unique,” Adzem said.
Another residence is at 1211 Hammond Road in Delray Beach, listed for $2,85 million. The finished touches are being put on the home, which has a British West Indies style and a modern twist.
Interesting materials are used in this cooking space, including a Matrix leatherette marble, a non-porous material that stretches across a massive island.
A pot filler will soon be installed at a pipe that sticks from the wall above the stove.
“So if you have a big pot you don’t have to carry it to the sink,” Adzem explained.
A huge, three-paneled sliding glass door tucks into the wall, allowing the kitchen and living spaces to connect to the outdoors which include a fireplace and pool.
An open-concept living space is for sale at 200 E. Palmetto Park Road Penthouse 10 in Boca Raton. The property is listed for $1,949,000 and it includes three private balconies.
The open-concept, Adzem says, is a current trend that many are seeking as they shop for real estate.
“The way that you increase the space is you remove the wall that closes it in,” she said.
High-end appliances are integrated. They include an expresso machine.
For extra sparkle, a Swarovsky chandelier glitters in the kitchen. A custom chandelier made of glass by artist Dale Chihuly makes a splash in the breakfast nook.
As the largest home in the area up for sale, a 16,000 square foot home sits on a property that is part of a 24,000 square foot living space. It is listed for $12,750,000.
At this property, the purchaser will also own every piece of art and furniture, plus the Rolls Royce Phantom that sits in the nine-car garage.
The dock can accommodate two super-yachts at its back door. The home has seven bedrooms, six full baths and two half-bathrooms, but also two kitchens. Both fitted with luxury appliances, one of the kitchens is Kosher, with two of each type of appliance.
“I’ve been told by those who are really masterful in the kitchen, they always prefer natural gas versus induction stove.”
