The valuable Mares’ Listed Hurdle scheduled for the abandoned Sandown meeting last Saturday has been transferred north of the capital and will be staged at Warwick this weekend.
Warwick, along with Sandown and Kempton, form part of the 15 tracks operated by Jockey Club Racecourses who will now stage the £20,000 Listed race as The Levy Board Warwick Mares’ Hurdle Race at 12.10 on Saturday.
Warwick’s clerk of the course, Sulekha Varma, said: “It was obviously disappointing that Sandown Park were forced to abandon their fixture last Saturday but we are pleased that the Listed Mares’ Race has been rescheduled to take place at Warwick.
“The race will be a great addition to our already strong card and we’re looking forward to seeing some talented mares at the track.
“We’re grateful to the Levy Board and BHA for their support.”
