Minnesota Vikings running back came into the 2013 season with the mindset of breaking the single season rushing record that was set by Eric Dickerson in 1984.
Last season Peterson had himself a huge season after he fell just eight yards short of tying the record and fell at 2,097 on the year. This season hasn’t lived up to last year but he still had himself a decent year but nothing compared to 2012.
Right now Peterson is listed as doubtful for the regular season finale against the Detroit Lions on Sunday.

Peterson will finish the year with 279 carries for 1,266 rushing yards and 10 touchdowns. It’ll be the first time Adrian will be under 12 touchdowns for the first time since his 2008 season where he had exactly 10. His career high in touchdowns on the year was 18 a year later.
He’s recorded 12 touchdowns in his previous three seasons. Peterson will be looking to get back to 2012 form in 2014 for the Minnesota Vikings.
