The Chicago Bears are preparing for the toughest game of their entire regular season on Sunday as they’re getting ready to host the Green Bay Packers in a game that will decide who wins the NFC North.
I get goosebumps just thinking about this game whenever I write about either team. I was writing about Eddie Lacy returning to practice not too long ago and I was just ready to fall asleep until game time on Sunday.
Anyways, the Chicago Bears need their offense to be at their best after failing to show up against the Philadelphia Eagles in their recent blow out on Sunday. Their wide receivers have done a great job this year, especially Alshon Jeffery and Brandon Marshall as the Bears have been one of the highest scoring teams in the league.
It’s always great when you have history with your starting quarterback. As most of you know, wide receiver Earl Bennett and Jay Cutler played together in college at Vanderbilt. Going back that long has put these guys on almost the same page as Brandon Marshall and himself (Cutler), which helps out this offense.
Having two guys you are almost always on the same page with can really take a team a long ways. That’s if they have a defense who can help out.
Now onto Sunday’s game against the Packers. The Bears are hoping that they can get the protection up front to give Cutler the time he needs to get the ball down field. Green Bay’s secondary has been making some big plays over the last couple of weeks so Cutler needs to protect the ball.
Jay Cutler may be down a key wide receiver with Earl Bennett who is currently dealing with a family problem in Texas. Chicago Bears head coach Marc Trestman told the media that Bennett was listed as questionable for the regular season finale.
Marc Trestman says Earl Bennett is questionable for Sunday as he continues to deal with what the team is calling a family issue.

This team could really use Bennett in the lineup, but as usual family comes first. That’s how it always should be.
