It’s looking like wide receiver Leonte Carroo may not be available when the Rutgers Scarlet Knights take on the Notre Dame Fighting Irish in the New Era Pinstripe Bowl on December 28.

Carroo missed the final two games of the regular season, and he was listed as doubtful for the bowl on injury report released by the school.

Rutgers head coach Kyle Flood briefly addressed Carroo’s status:

I guess the one guy right now that we’re still uncertain of is Leonte. Leonte has not been out here practicing with us. That would be the first one that would come to mind.

I’m not going to comment on it. I’m optimistic that he’s going to play in the game but he’s not out here practicing so when the question is, ‘Is there anybody that you are concerned about?’ that would be the one (NJ.com).

Carroo totaled 478 receiving yards during the regular season and led the Scarlet Knights with nine touchdowns.
