Singer’s reps say the pair ‘don’t know one another’
Taylor Swift was mysteriously listed as “next of kin” by a pilot who died in a Nashville plane crash last month, but according to the singer’s rep, Taylor does “not know the person.”
According to Gossip Cop, Canadian Michael Callan died on October 29 after flying his small plane across an international border without being detected, before veering hundreds of miles away from the flight plan.
The pilot is said to have circled Nashville International Airport for hours with his transponder turned off, before he then crashed the aircraft whilst attempting to land.
The site claim that investigators are still “baffled” over the whole thing – but they are even more confused over the fact that Callan listed T-Swizzle as his “next of kin” at his flying club.
However, a rep for the singer told The Tennessean: “The first we heard of this was when the appropriate authorities contacted Taylor’s management about the crash. Taylor does not know this person.”

Meanwhile, Taylor recently opened up about how she emphasises the importance of emotional honesty when it comes down to her music, speaking out to New York magazine about allowing yourself to “feel raw, real emotions” in public.
“Hopefully that’s the case, if I can remain a real human,” she explains. “I’m fine with being honest with my fans about the fact that it’s okay that everything isn’t okay all the time.
“I love my life, I love my career, I love my friends—but things are not okay all the time. So I don’t sing about things being okay all the time.”
The singer says her lyrics have given the press a convenient angle on which to base stories about her, but she shrugs it off dismissively.
“There’s a spin on every single celebrity out there,” she admits. “I know that one of my spins is: ‘Oh, Taylor’s heartbroken. Oh, Taylor fell in love and the guy broke her heart. She’s sad all the time, and lonely.’
“I mean, they can say all they want. Those are real feelings that every single person goes through. I think it’s okay to be mad at someone who hurt you.
“This isn’t about, like, the pageantry of trying to seem like nothing affects you. I’m a songwriter. Everything affects me.”
