Not So Charitable! David and Victoria Beckham’s Designer Clothes Already …

Some people are out to make a quick buck!

It’s seems David and Victoria Beckham’s act of charity has been proving profitable for some unscrupulous shoppers. Some customers have already cashed in on the abundance of designer items the couple donated in aid of victims affected by Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines.

Manolo Blahnik shoes, Roberto Cavalli dresses and Dolce and Gabbana handbags are just some of the luxury items – once owned by Victoria – that have appeared on Ebay for prices that far outstrip that charged when they were put up for grabs at Red Cross charity shop in Kensington.

A tuxedo jacket once owned by David now holds a reserve price on the trading website for £300 despite it only costing the owner £75 when they snapped it up in the sale.

The former Spice Girl had donated over 20 boxes of items from her coveted wardrobe as a generous donation to charity, so the profit boosting Ebay sales probably isn’t what she had in mind.

Despite the greedy intentions of some shoppers, others were keen to snatch designer items at a fraction of their original price tag, and with some items being sold from as little as £25 , its no wonder the store saw fans queue around the block when the sale opened this morning.

Some fashion-conscious shoppers would have been left disappointed after finding that the majority of the clothes were less than desirable cast-offs from Victoria’s WAG days.

However fans of The Spice Girls were able to snap up some key memorabilia from Victoria’s career, including her signature little black dress, a tight black T-shirt branded with the word ‘POSH’ and a hoodie with ‘Spice Girls’ printed across the back.
