The O’Fallon Tree Lighting Ceremony will be from 6-8 p.m. Nov. 20 at O’Fallon City Hall, 100 N. Saint Charles Christmas Traditions Opening Day will be Nov. 29 in downtown St. Charles. Festivities will be from 11 a.m.-9 p.m. The opening ceremony will be at 11 a.m. at the gazebo in the 400 Block of South Main Street. Santa will arrive by horse-drawn carriage, escorted by the Lewis Clark Fife Drum Corps and the Legends of Christmas. Festival hours will then be 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Saturdays, noon-5 p.m. Sundays, 6:30-9 p.m. Wednesdays and Fridays and 11 a.m.-2 p.m Christmas Eve.

The Third Annual Santa’s North Pole Dash And Children’s Snowman Shuffle will be Dec. 14 in downtown St. Charles. Santa’s North Pole Dash is a 5K run and 1-mile walk for people ages 12 and older. Children ages 11 and younger are encouraged to participate in the Snowman Shuffle, a three-quarter-mile kids run in Frontier Park. Registration for the 5K run and 1-mile walk is $35.
