KPMG AND DELOITTE will see two of its former partners sit on listed boards according to stock exchange announcements.
KPMG veteran Ian Dewar will join financial planning specialist Brewin Dolphin as audit committee chair. Meanwhile Gerry Murphy takes a non-executive director role at the CarphoneWarehouse.

Dewar retired from KPMG after 32 years at the firm with a career spanning 27 years in financial services, as well as audit, advisory, client relationship and practice management roles. He is due to take up his role after the company’s annual general meeting in February next year.
Simon Miller, chairman of Brewin Dolphin, said: “I am delighted that Ian has joined the board of Brewin Dolphin. He brings important skills and knowledge to the board, with a wide ranging experience of the financial services industry.”
Meanwhile Murphy, who is a former Deloitte partner and leader of its professional practices group will take up his role at communications business CarphoneWarehouse. He was Deloitte’s audit committee chair and was also had the role of ICAEW audit Assurance Faculty chairman.
