Nicholls Canyon wins Listed prize in France

John Gosden: Trains Nichols Canyon

British and Irish raiders filled the first two places in the Listed Prix Denisy at Saint-Cloud as Nichols Canyon galloped clear of Inis Meain.

Denis Hogan’s Inis Meain made most of the running under Stephane Pasquier and attempted to slip the field turning for home in the extended mile-and-seven-furlong event.

But Olivier Peslier and the John Gosden-trained Nichols Canyon, a winner at the same grade at Ascot last month, was the only one to go with him and was well on top of the Irish gelding with a furlong remaining, coming four lengths clear.
