A firefighter was taken to Erie County Medical Center to be checked out after suffering an injury battling an overnight fire on North Division Street that started in one home and spread to two others.
The fire began at about 1:30 a.m. at 737 N. Division, a vacant 1½-story house, and caused extensive damage at 735 and 739 N. Division.
An occupant in one of the houses required temporary shelter from the Red Cross.
Damage at 739 N. Division was listed at $75,000 and damage at 735 N. Division was put at $70,000.
The firefighter’s injuries were not believe to be life-threatening.
The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
