There’s still time to be listed

If your nonprofit organization is having a bazaar that isn’t listed here, there’s still time to get in our weekly calendar.

Here’s how:

• Log onto our qctimes.com website.

• Scroll down to the “Events calendar” heading ( it’s near the bottom) and click on “add an event.”

• This will bring up a page asking you to log in with your Quad-City Times account, if you have one. If you don’t, you will need to create one with an email address and a password of your choosing. (Please make a note of it for future reference.)

• Next comes the Calendar/Add Event page with the word “What” on it. Give your event a title. (“Bazaar” is fine, although some bazaars have specific names.)

• Under “section,” there is a drop-down menu. Pull it down and click on “Food Shopping.”

• Add your website address (optional) and the cost. If attending your event is free, click the “free” box. Write in the “description” box anything pertaining to your event: special items for sale, if you have a meal and the prices for the meal, raffle items, etc. If your event runs multiple days, put in the dates and times. If you wish to say what the proceeds will be used for, this is the place to do so.

• Scroll past “post event photo” to “Name” (your church, school or nonprofit organization), the address where the event will be and your city and state.

• For when, if your event is Oct. 6, for example, type in 2013-10-06. Give the starting and ending times. (If your event is on multiple days, put in the first day and we will pick up succeeding days from the description portion of the form.)

• Include your contact information, but that is just for us, not for publication.

• Finally, hit “Add event.” Your event will be listed the week it is happening.
