The company is expecting to use the 4.4-acre site for about 50 properties, about 30 of which will be new-builds.
A public consultation about the company’s plans for a mix of apartments and houses on the site will be held in Beverley next week, when visitors will be able to give their opinions.

Steve Alcock, group land and estates manager with PJ Livesey, said: “We have spent the past few months focusing on the masterplan to ensure our proposals are fully thought out and we are able to feel confident the scheme respected the listed buildings.
“Consultation with the community is part of that process and we look forward to hearing the views of people who know and love this important site.”
Beverley Westwood Hospital closed in 2010.
After that, the Humber NHS Foundation Trust, which ran the hospital, invited developers to submit proposals for the site.
In April, the trust announced PJ Livesey as the preferred developer.
Simon Weightman, who acted as selling agent for the site on behalf of the trust, told the Mail there had been ten bidders.
Speaking at the time, he said: “It has been marketed without the benefit of planning permission because every developer will have their own innovative idea of how it should be developed.
“The preferred developer is hoping to be able to submit a planning application within the next six months and, hopefully, building work can start within 12 months.”
PJ Livesey is a specialist property development and restoration company, with previous experience in projects blending new homes with refurbished period and listed buildings.
The company, together with Humber NHS Foundation Trust, has been working with East Riding Council to put together the proposals.
The current plans will retain the grade two listed archway into the site and West House, along with the original school house most recently used for the storage of medical records and Beaver Lodge.
It is hoped the listed buildings will be converted into a mix of apartments of houses, with “sensitively designed” new buildings within the grounds.
The company also intends to restore the formal gardens in front of West House.
It is expected the new homes will be in high demand, because of the site’s location bordering the picturesque Beverley Westwood.
The East Yorkshire town was this year named as one of the north’s top ten most desirable places to live, adding to the appeal for house- hunters.
Mr Alcock said: “We welcome members of the community to come and look at our initial proposals.”
The public consultation will take place on Tuesday, August 13, from 3pm to 8pm at Beverley Quaker Meeting House, Quaker Lane, Woodlands, Beverley, HU17 8BY.
