A New York City man is accused of trying to sell his girlfriend’s baby on craigslist.com.

Police say 23 year old Paul Marquez posted the ad on the Staten Island section of craigslist because he felt the baby was getting in the way of his romantic relationship with the mother.

The price tag… $100.

Investigators say Marquez had been chatting online with the 19 year old mother of the two month old.

Marquez told police that he was upset that the woman was not too interested in him after a few dates.

Police say the ad was his idea of revenge.The ad was listed under the Baby and Kids section and was filled with spelling errors.

Police say Marquez included the mother’s phone number in the ad. She called police after someone called offering to buy the baby.

He is facing multiple charges including endangering the welfare of a child.

He’s being held on $1,000 bail.
