Google Nexus 7 2 tablet listed on Carphone Warehouse internal systems

UK retailer Carphone Warehouse has the Nexus 7 2 listed in its in-store inventory system. Expected to be announced on 24 July, the 7-inch tablet improves on last year’s model in many ways, and is heavily rumoured to be hitting the street at the same time as the new version of Android, Android 4.3.

It was previously thought that UK availability for the new device would come some time after the US release, but a leaked shot of the screen of a CPW inventory system sent to Pocket-lint shows that British retailers already have it planned for some time in the near future.

Two models are shown on the screen. According to Pocket-lint’s tipster, there will be 16GB Wi-Fi and 32GB Wi-Fi versions. There is no listing shown for a 3G version, so it is unlikely to be available on a tariff, at least initially.

Previous rumours have suggested that the Nexus 7 2 will have a 5-megapixel rear-facing camera, 1.2-megapixel front-facing, and wireless charging.

As well as the screen shot, Pocket-lint’s tipster says that the normal Nexus 7 32GB model will have a price drop to the same as the current 16GB version, which will be discontinued.
