‘Saints Row 4: Low Violence Version’ listed on Steam

Saints Row 4: Low Violence Version is being advertised on Steam.

Available to Steam customers in Australia, the ‘Low Violence’ edition of the game has appeared after the country’s classification board refused to give the game an age rating.

Becoming the first game in the region to be refused classification since new guidelines were introduced earlier this year, the title is banned from sale in the country.

Little is known about the ‘Low Violence Version’, with publisher Deep Silver telling Kotaku that it had “no further comments at this time”.

The company has previously pledged to “rework” the game for Australian audiences in order to guarantee its release.

The game was refused a rating on the grounds that it implied sexual violence without suitable context.
