Sunset Magazine’s 2006 “House of Innovation” in Alamo (that’s deep in the East Bay, folks) has just been listed for $4.995M. The 5-bed, 5.5-bath, 6,400 square foot home was built as a collaborative effort between Sunset and Popular Mechanics magazines, architectural planning firm Dahlin Group, and the owner/builder, Mark De Mattei of De Mattei Construction, Inc. Abode highlights include a home theater and special things like heated towel bars and a double restaurant-quality refrigerator. The outdoor space has a grove of olive trees, sports court, and fire pit, but the real show-stopper is the gigantic pool.
