We are on a mission to find Canada’s top summer event, as chosen by our Canoe.ca and Sun Media readers. We know there are so many amazing summer festivals and events across Canada and that’s where you come in!

First we asked our readers to help us determine the top summer event in each province and territory. The results of that survey can be found in the photo gallery above or in the list below.

There was one easy win: Calgary’s Stampede, which will go ahead in 2013 as planned despite flooding, received 83% of votes to be named the top summer event in Alberta by a big margin. Other races were a little closer: Canada Day in Ottawa and the CNE in Toronto fought for top spot in Ontario with the CNE winning in the end.

Now we want to determine what the top summer event in all of Canada is. We’ve listed all the provincial winners in the poll below. What do you think Canada’s top summer event is? Ready, set, vote!
