R. B. Tullis Branch Library and the Montgomery County Memorial Library System are proud to announce exciting programs this summer which runs June 10-July 19, 2013. Children ages 18 months-12 years old are invited to participate in the Collaborative Summer Library Program Dig Into Reading! while earning rewards for reading eight (8) hours. Teens, 13-17 years old, are welcome to take part in Beneath the Surface while they earn rewards for meeting their personal reading goals. Adults, ages 18 and up, may participate in the Adult Summer Reading Program Groundbreaking Reads. Adults readers will be entered in a drawing to be held at the Tullis branch and entered into a library system-wide grand prize drawing. The 2013 Summer Reading Program is for both readers and listeners of all ages.
This year the R.B. Tullis Branch Library, located at 21569 U.S. Hwy 59, New Caney, Texas, is hosting events for all ages. Participation in summer reading programs is not required to attend library events, and all events are free and open to the public. Children
This year’s theme is Dig Into Reading! Programs and activities are planned to promote reading as a leisure activity, stimulate curiosity, and encourage children to use library resources. The Collaborative Summer Library Program is self-paced and fosters reading success by rewarding children for the time they spend reading. It will run from Monday, June 10 through Monday, July 22. All children 18 months through 12 years of age may join. The last day to report reading hours and pick up prizes is Friday, July 19 at 4:30 p.m.

This year’s theme is Beneath the Surface. Programs are planned to encourage reading a wide variety of topics, provide a safe environment for summer activities, and encourage teens to use library resources. It will run from Monday, June 10 through Monday, July 22nd. All teens 13 through 17 years old may participate. The last day to reach their reading goal is Friday, July 19 incentive program for teens in junior and senior high school.

• Read as many titles as you like and fill out your log tickets.
• Return your log tickets to the library or submit your titles online at www.countylibrary.org to be entered in a prize drawing at your library branch, and a MCMLS system-wide grand prize drawing.
• All reading logs and tickets paper and online, are due on Friday, July 19 at 5 p.m.
