The Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board is again marking June Dairy Month in Wisconsin with its Dairy Days of Summer campaign.

At the dairydaysofsummer.com website, consumers can find recipes and an interactive calendar of events, activities and promotions. Festivals and farm breakfasts are among the traditional events, sortable at the site by region or type of event. 

Among the earliest events listed for Southeastern Wisconsin are Burlington Chocolate Fest Friday through Monday, May 24-27; Dairy Day at Miller Park Sunday, May 26, when the first 2,000 fans age 12 and younger will get a free ice cream sundae; a cheese and wine pairing class June 6 at Glorioso’s; and a beer and cheese tasting June 7 at the Uber Tap Room.

The more than 40 dairy-friendly recipes at the site include Pear Brunch Cake, Cottage Cheese Tart, Quadruple Chocolate Ice Box Cake, Mascarpone Lemon Ice Box Parfait and Coffee and Caramel Shake.

June Dairy Month originated in 1937.
