1) Newsbit of the Day:
There’s a spring concert and art show at the high school tonight at 7 in the auditorium.
The music director said there will be performances by the concert band, percussion ensemble, chorus and North Shore Voices.
Art is hanging in the foyer, just outsde the auditorium.
Earlier, at 5 the school will host its STEM/garden fundraiser.

Dinner and Ice Cream Dinner

Please join us as we introduce the Swampscott Community to the Outdoor Class Garden at Swampscott High School.
A variety of options for dinner will be prepared by Lynn Meatland, at $10.00 per person.
Treadwells will be providing sundaes for dessert, at $5.00 per person.
2) Town and School Watch:
A tree hearing is scheduled for 2 at Town Hall where the public can weigh in on the advisability of cutting down 11 trees in town — maples, lindens and a crab apple.
3) Swampscott Sports:
Swampscott High varsity competitions at home today. There is one, the girls tennis team has a match against Marblehead at 4 on the middle school courts.
There will be a tryout for the Swampscott Marblehead Junior Legion Baseball team( 17 and under) players with a 1996 birth date or above on Sunday May 19th at Seaside Park in Marblehead from 12:00 PM to 2:00PM Anyone needing info can call head coach Tom Engstom at 781 639 0292
