Zion’s UCC
POTTSTOWN — The 2013 Confirmation Class at Zion’s United Church of Christ, Hanover and Chestnut streets, will participate in a retreat on Sunday following the 10:45 a.m. worship service. Confirmands will complete their stoles, share their Statements of Faith and rehearse for confirmation.
The Women’s Fellowship will host its annual banquet on Tuesday. The Sanatoga Ridge Singers will provide the entertainment.
Mount Carmel UMC
ST. PETERS — Members of Mount Carmel United Methodist Church, 2203 Harmonyville Road, will leave the church at 7:45 a.m. for a day of service in the Good Works Program which helps those in need of home repairs.
There will be a coffee fellowship on Sunday after the 10 a.m. service. All are welcome.
St. Luke Lutheran
GILBERTSVILLE — Church Music Sunday will be observed at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 35 Wilson Ave., with only one service,at 9:30, a.m. All of the St. Luke Choirs will lead worship – The Handbell Choir, the Adult Choir and the Cherub Choir. The Joyful Noise Choir will present the message of the day with the help of two puppeteers, Blake Blevins and Sarah White.
Sunday will also be the final day of service at the church for Music Director, Deborah Matthews, who will be assuming the director of music position at New Hanover Lutheran Church. Following the worship service there will be a time of fellowship and thanks, wishing Deb farewell and Godspeed in her new position.
The St. Luke Softball team will play at 5:30 p.m. on Sunday at Douglass Township Park against North Pointe.
