Local theater buffs can look forward to a jam-packed weekend with shows taking place in both Brecksville and Broadview Heights.
Brecksville Little Theatre closes its 72nd season with its production of “The Fantasticks,” open April 19 and runs through May 11. Shows are at 8 p.m. April 19 and 20.
Directed by Frank Wilson with musical direction by Gail Wirick, the musical celebrates spring and young love. Tickets are $10 with reserved seating. Reserve a ticket by calling the box office at 440-526-4477 or online at brecksvillelittletheatre.org.
Tickets purchased online are subject to a $1.54 fee. Shows are at Old Town Hall on the northwest corner of Brecksville and Royalton roads.
Broadview Heights Spotlights Community Theater is in its second week of a three-week run of “Pilots of the Purple Twilight,” which focuses on the first-class lounge aboard the RMS Titanic on its last night.
Final performances of “Pilots of the Purple Twilight” are at 7:30 p.m. April 19, 20, 26 and 27 and 3 p.m. April 21. Broadview Heights Spotlights Community Theater is located at 9543 Broadview Road, Broadview Heights.

Broadview Heights’ Assumption Church Altar and Rosary Society will host its Annual Spring Fashion Show from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 21 at St Michael’s Woodside Party Center, 5025 Mill Road, Broadview Heights.
Doors open at 11 a.m. Tickets are $35 and include the choice of baked scrod or champagne chicken for lunch. Tickets must be purchased in advance by calling Deb at 440-237-7468 or Pat at 440-230-0775.
