Cunningham’s restaurant on Fourth Street is on the market.
The Courier-Journal reports that the popular downtown restaurant is listed for $675,000, but that the son of its owners may take over its operation and remove it from the market.
The restaurant has been owned since 1981 by Don and Shirley George, the paper reports. Don George’s son, Brent George, tells the C-J the restaurant was listed because of his father’s poor health.
Brent George has no current financial stake in the downtown restaurant, the paper reports, but he owns and operates a second Cunningham’s, called Creekside, in Harrods Creek.
