Daft Punk’s people deny fresh Coachella rumours

Daft Punk were listed on Sony’s Vevo site for a
show at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, at Empire Polo Field on Friday
12 April, the first of two consecutive Coachella weekend as the festival now happens twice over two weekends.

The post on the Vevo site has
since disappeared and Daft Punk
management have responded by denying any truth to the listing. The latest edition in the Daft Punk saga follows closely on from the news that Daft Punk’s new album will be called Random Access Memories,
and is due for release in May on Sony’s label Columbia.


Back in January The Stone Roses, Blur, Phoenix
and Red Hot Chili Peppers were amongst hundreds of acts announced for the Coachella Festival 2013
line-up this April.

Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival takes place annually
at Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, in the Inland Empire’s Coachella Valley. Last
year was the first time the festival took place twice over two consecutive weekends in response to growing demand.

Coachella Festival 2013 will take place from April 12-14 and again from April
19-21, with the same line-up playing both dates.

Coachella Festival 2013 tickets sold out in less than 24 hours.
