5 Things on a Thursday That Will Make You Thrive in Concord

  1. Another sunny day. Weather forecasters are calling for partly sunny skies with highs in the mid-30s. Overnight lows drop down to the teens with cloudy skies.
  2. Thrivin’ Thursday. Get out there and move around a bit. The Green Street Community Center holds open gym at 11:45 a.m. Mariann P. offers a Zumba class at the Let’s Dance Studio at 5 p.m. while Dance Inspirations offers a class at 5:45 p.m. with instructor Marianne Fleischman.
  3. OK gals, get your prom gear. New To You Recycled Fashion hosts its Prom on a Budget event at 5 p.m. Tons of dresses under $200. Oh, and there a prizes too.
  4. Meet Abi Maxwell. Lakes Region resident Abi Maxwell, the author of “Lake People,” will be at Gibson’s Bookstore at 7 p.m. signing copies of her book and chatting.
  5. Other stuff. The Children’s Place and Parents’ Education Center offers a baby and parents caregivers group at 9:30 a.m. A parents group meeting will be held at 1 p.m. at the Concord Birth Center. Lilise Designer has a resale fashion show to benefit the Payson Center for Cancer Care at 4 p.m. Butter’s Fine Food and Wine offers a wine tasting at 4:30 p.m. It’s movie night at the Concord Public Library at 6:30 p.m. Mike Morris plays Hermanos at 6:30 p.m. The Families Sharing Without Shame substance abuse support group meets at 7 p.m.
