WITH the winter all-weather season nearing its end, one of the season’s leading trainers Marco Botti struck with Teophilip under jockey Andrea Atzeni.
It was the trainer’s 19th winner of the winter, during which he has operated with a 28 per cent strike-rate.
Teophilip was well placed under Atzeni and nosed his way through to lead in the home straight and was a comfortable winner from favourite Emell, who was held up and slightly short of room in the closing stages. Hoarding was third.

Blue Square Bet Hever Stakes (Listed) 5f, all-weather
FRESH from cheering home a Cheltenham Festival winner for his brother and two for his father, Willy Twiston-Davies was in the winner’s enclosure himself as Ladies Are Forever scored an easy win.
Trained by Geoff Oldroyd for Reg Bond, Ladies Are Forever travelled smartly behind leader Timeless Call before darting up the inside as the field rounded the home turn.
The five-year-old, sent off at 10-1, stormed clear to set a new track record of 56.67 seconds, half a second faster than the previous record of 57.26 seconds. Timeless Call kept on for second with Tarooq third.
It completed a superb week for the Twiston-Davies family as father Nigel sent out Same Difference and The New One, ridden by Sam Twiston-Davies, to win at the Cheltenham Festival.
