Here is a guide to the Comic Relief events happening around the county this year.
COTMANHAY, Wednesday: Cotmanhay Children’s Centre, in Beauvale Drive, will hold an activity session, featuring nose decoration, colouring and biscuit making, to raise money, between 11.30am and 2.30pm.

CATTON HALL, Wednesday: Seasoned Cookery School, held at Catton Hall, will hold a cookery event with Brendan Lynch, finalist from the BBC’s 2012 Great British Bake Off. Takes place from 2.30pm and entry is £2.
DERBY, Friday: The Mortgage Advice Bureau in Pride Place, Pride Park, will be holding activities including face painting, body painting, cake and pizza stalls, for staff at the firm to help raise money.

DERBY, Friday: Down’s Syndrome sufferer Alison Guy, 38, is holding a treadmill challenge at her home in Grafton Street, trying to hit eight hours on the machine, starting at 10am, to raise money.
DERBY, Friday: Snooker club Cueball, in Mansfield Road, is having pool competitions, snooker competitions, raffles, quizzes from 7pm to raise money.
DERBY, Friday: Sainsbury’s, in Kedleston Road, is having an afternoon of events at the store to raise money, from 1pm to 5pm. These will include origami sessions, dancing outside the store, nose painting and body waxing.
CHADDESDEN, Friday: Sainsbury’s, in Wyvern Way, will have fund-raising events throughout the day, including tombola, guess the name of the bear, guess the number of sweets in the jar and children’s craft exercises.
LITTLEOVER, Friday: Littleover Baptist Church Hall, in Thornhill Road, will have a cake and coffee afternoon from 2pm until 4pm to raise money.
BORROWASH, Friday: A fancy dress Zumba party will take place at St Hughs Parish Hall, Derby Road, from 7.30pm.
ALFRETON, Friday and Saturday: Amber Valley Borough Council is offering car boot stalls for £10 at Alfreton Indoor Market on Friday and Saturday. All rental income from these stalls will be donated to Comic Relief. There will also be competitions and events taking place at the market during the two days. To apply for stalls, call 01773 520363.
