Inspired by a 75-acre estate on Nantucket listed recently at $47 million, the Boston Business Journal compiled a list of the 20 Most Expensive Homes that sold in Martha’s Vineyard and Nantucket for 2012.
The first five estates on the list, in order of most expensive, were located on Nantucket, with three of them in the Cliff Road neighborhood. President Bill Clinton and Hillary Rodham Clinton stayed with friends on the Cliff Road when they came to Nantucket for fundraising trips during Clinton’s term in office.
The top Vineyard selling house was 35 Dunham Road on Edgartown Harbor; it sold for $12,600,000, followed by 41 Dunham Road that sold for $12,500,000.
