Autism team short-listed for award

A SPECIALIST unit for students with autism within South Devon College has been short-listed in a national awards ceremony.

Prior to The Lodge opening, students with autism in the area were unable to effectively access learning at the college alongside their peers.

Staff felt passionately they should not be excluded from this invaluable learning experience and so The Lodge was set up.

It has been nominated in the Inspirational Education Provision category in the National Autistic Society’s Autism Professionals Awards.
